Daniel Hill Jnr., 3 June 1954, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Hill achieved success when a soft ballad co-written by Hill and Barry Mann, reached number 3 in 1977, and ‘Can’t We Try’, a duet with Vonda Shepard, climbed to number 6 in 1987. His parents moved to Canada during the 50s and Hill discovered music in his teens, gravitating toward vocalists such as Frank Sinatra.
