Biography

Originally known as Los Caracas when they performed throughout Europe, this Scottish quartet featured singer Sally Carr, backed by Ian Lewis, Eric Lewis and Ken Andrew. An astute cover of a novelty Continental song ‘Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep’ saw them outsell a rival version by Mac And Katie Kissoon and hog the UK number 1 spot for five weeks during the summer of 1971.
