Rating: B- -- Although the pace occasionally lags, there's no denying that 'Waiting for Anya' will fill you with compassion. It's a classic story of heroes and enemies. But more importantly, it's a tender tale about a community coming together to do the right thing. Full Review

Product Description:

Director Ben Cookson's World War II drama is an adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's 1990 children's novel of the same name. It stars Noah Schnapp, Anjelica Huston, Jean Reno, and Sadie Frost. A courageous thirteen-year-old shepherd boy (Schnapp) collaborates with a reclusive widow (Huston) to smuggle Jewish children across the moutain range that borders France and Spain. The arrival of Nazi soldiers, however, threatens their covert operation and their own lives.
