Rating: 3/4 -- Given its obviously commercial aims, Ghost is remarkably appealing on a purely personal level. It is about how you deal with death. Full Review

Rating: 3/4 -- The passion and poignancy of trying to communicate with the dead is well-exploited here. Moore has never been more fetching. Full Review

Rating: 3/4 -- What it offers, apart from the overblown special effects that seem inescapable in American movies, is an unusual and effective combination of swooning, morbid romance and screwball comedy. Full Review

Rating: 2.5/5 -- The movie's slogan is "Believe," not an unreasonable request. But even those who'd be happy to comply must get past Ghost's one casting jaw-dropper, a certain woolly-mindedness to its script and a production prettified to the point of stickiness. Full Review

Description by OLDIES.com:

The infamous Dr. Hitchcock performs seances and black magic rituals to ease the pain of a debilitating illness. Overwhelmed by sadistic demands, his beautiful young wife concocts a plan to murder the doctor and inherit his riches. The ghastly voice of the murdered professor echoes through the haunted mansion when his ghost returns seeking vengeance. The wife's terror and the spirit's bloodlust lead to a horrific confrontation and their ultimate doom.

The Ghost (originally released in Italy as Lo Spectro) is the second film by Riccardo Freda to detail the gruesome crimes of Dr. Hitchcock. In addition to The Horrible Dr. Hitchcock (1962), Freda's other legendary films include I Vampiri (1956), Caltiki, The Immortal Monster (1959) and Samson and the Seven Miracles of the World (1962).

Product Description:

This film has it's moments! Movie Lover: from County Durham, England UK -- January, 5, 2005

I got this film because it stars the one and only Barbara Steele. The film is a little slow in places, however, it has it's moments and is quite spooky at time's. Get this film if you are a fan...
