Description by OLDIES.com:
The Black Diamond Gang - a band of horse thieves and rustlers - has turned the plains into outlaw territory. With each robbery they become bolder, stealing mustangs from Sunset Carson and his rangers. When Carson attempts to recover the horses, the villains beat him senseless. However, Sunset's dedication to justice is more powerful than any bandit's strong-arming. Only a violent, climactic gunfight will determine the fate of the entire valley.
Filmed back-to-back with three other Sunset Carson films, Fighting Mustang is one of the finest of Carson's post-Republic pictures. Balancing rousing musical numbers with brutal fight scenes, it is a classic example of the effective work that the poverty-row companies were able to create with limited budgets.
Sunset rides into a heap of action when he and his partner try to stop a gang of wild horse thieves.
