4 stars out of 5 -- [T]his saucily subversive dark romance mixes old-fashioned costumed intrigue with lustily modern psychological twists and post-Freudian thrills.

Anchored in an exceptionally persuasive performance by Rachel Weisz....A triumphant exercise in dark and delicious romantic ambiguity...

It takes at least 15 minutes for Rachel Weisz to appear on screen, but when she does it is a quiet, contained event. Nonetheless, the effect of her face is a payoff akin to an explosion in an action movie. Full Review

Rating: 1/5 -- My Cousin Rachel really is prototypical claptrap. It's possessed of such a flat and minimal conceit that is so telegraphed, it's beyond satire. Full Review
