Totally derivative and without any particular surprises, [but] still a skillful exercise. Full Review
It's an embarrassing half assed horror film that goes nowhere, and I couldn't stand it. Full Review
Rating: 2/4 -- Though certainly a cut above the majority of its straight-to-video horror brethren, Rest Stop is ultimately undone by the inclusion of several questionable elements... Full Review
Reel Film Reviews
Rating: 1/5 -- This is a flat horror effort that ranges from dull to unintentionally hilarious to, finally, tiresome. Full Review
Rating: 2/10 -- ...another of those films where we just wish the madman would dispatch the leading lady as quickly as possible and be done with it, putting her and us out our misery. Full Review
Rating: 2.5/5 -- absolutely riddled with plot holes, inconsistencies, and simple errors of logic
3 stars out of 5 -- It'll make you squirm, with a couple of grisly episodes rivalling HOSTEL's eye-snip.
Two women take a trip straight into Hell in the splatter movie REST STOP. Jess and Nicole are on a road trip, heading towards Hollywood. A rest stop provides a welcome break from the rigors of driving, but when Jess vanishes, Nicole comes face to face with a fearsome adversary who is armed to the teeth with weapons.
Description by Warner Home Video:
Rest Stop (Raw Feed Series)
Jess is at the wheel. Nicole rides shotgun. And at the end of the road stretching before them is glittering, glamorous Hollywood. They're on a road trip, all right...straight to hell. When the runaway lovers pause at an abandoned rest stop, Jess disappears. And someone else appears - someone with his own demented sense of fun. With drills. Staple guns. Box cutters. All the tearing, grinding, ripping tools you need to hew wood. Or metal. Or people. Especially young, pretty people just like Nicole.
Raw fear rules in Rest Stop, the first film from Raw Feed, the newest brand name in horror, sci-fi and thrillers. Director John Shiban, writer and executive producer of The X-Files and Supernatural, keeps the terrors and twists coming, each out-shocking the last. Stop. Stay awhile. But don't expect to rest.
