Product Description:
In addition to releasing records by a variety of blues and R&B artists, the Harlem-based Fury label was home to many of the city's most talented doo-wop acts throughout the late 1950s and early '60s. This brief sampling collects the work of such area stars as the Du Mauriers, represented here by "All Night Long," as well as the New Jersey group the Kodaks, whose trio of teen-oriented cuts here includes the irresistible "Oh Gee Oh Gosh." Another notable inclusion is Frankie Lymon's brother, Lewis, heard here with the Teenchords performing Fury's debut release, "I'm So Happy," and the group's follow-up, "Honey Honey."
